the rules of the road,
kept short.

Who we are.
Elara is built by Nomly (“we”, “us”). Using the Elara iOS app or this website means you accept these terms.
Not a medical service.
Elara is an emotional companion, not a medical device or doctor. The week-by-week development info, baby-size comparisons, checklists, kick counts, contraction timings, and articles are educational. They are not a diagnosis, treatment plan, or substitute for professional medical advice.
Always consult your obstetrician or midwife for medical questions, especially if anything feels wrong. If you suspect an emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
Your account.
Elara uses an anonymous Firebase id — there's no username or password to remember. Don't share your 6-digit partner code with anyone you don't want viewing your pregnancy progress; codes rotate every 30 seconds for safety.
Subscriptions, trials, and renewals.
- Premium subscriptions are billed by Apple through your Apple ID.
- A free trial (if offered) starts the moment you tap subscribe; cancel at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid being charged.
- Renewals are automatic at the price disclosed on the subscribe screen, until you cancel in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
- Refunds for IAP are handled directly by Apple (we cannot issue them ourselves).
- Prices may change with notice in-app or via Apple — your active period at the old price is honoured.
Acceptable use.
- Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, exploit, or abuse the service.
- Do not use Elara to harass anyone (including via partner reactions).
- We may suspend abusive accounts and remove abusive content.
Content ownership.
You own everything you write or photograph in Elara. We claim no rights to your journal, photos, kick logs, etc. The app's code, art, and copy are © Nomly.
Liability.
Elara is provided as-is. We do our best to keep it accurate, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability or freedom from bugs. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages arising from your use of the app.
Changes to these terms.
We may update these terms — material changes will be highlighted in-app. Continuing to use Elara after a change means you accept the new terms.
Governing law.
These terms are governed by the laws applicable to a digital consumer service distributed worldwide via the Apple App Store. Mandatory consumer protections in your country apply regardless.
