§pregnancy week by week

all forty weeks,
in their own time.

Every week of pregnancy, from the first day of your last period to birth. Each page is a quiet guide to what's changing in your baby and in you — sourced from WHO, NHS, and ACOG. No diagnoses, no alarms, just the wonder of becoming.

First Trimester · weeks 1–13

The first trimester runs from your last period through week 13. Your baby grows from a cluster of cells to a fully formed fetus about the size of a peach. Fatigue, nausea, and tenderness are common as hormones shift dramatically.

Second Trimester · weeks 14–27

Often called the "golden trimester" — energy returns, nausea fades, and your bump becomes visible. Your baby begins to move, hear, and practice facial expressions. Anatomy scans happen around week 20.

Third Trimester · weeks 28–40

The final stretch. Your baby gains weight rapidly, settles into position, and prepares for birth. You may notice Braxton Hicks contractions, shortness of breath, and increased movement as the due date approaches.
